I personally never suffered from this playing games malady. It's such a bitchy, insecure, immature thing to do.
Now, was this an isolated occurrence or is it a habit of theirs?
A few possibilities as to why they take a while to respond:
- They don't want to seem too available, and are playing hard to get/want to be pursued.
- They're thinking long and hard about a suitable response to your text/are consulting with their girlfriends/guy friends about it, because they genuinely fancy you and don't want to sound stupid.
- Their favorite show is on.
- They're fingering themselves at the sight of the hunk in said show.
- They're fingering themselves at the sight of the pic you sent them.
- Their phone is not with them/is on silent/they don't check it often etc..
- They're simply busy, people have lives, you know.
- They don't want to seem desperate.
- They don't like you enough to be bothered to respond promptly.
There could be other reasons, of course, And as I said, if this was an isolated incident, then it's fine, I suppose. Perhaps it was just a coincidence that they both responded at the same time. But if they have a habit of doing this, then dismiss the bitches. Who's got time for these childish games anyway? |

| If you have an iphone iMessaging lets you know exactly what time they read your message. This scottish girl I know texted me at 6:50am my time, I texted back at 11:21. She read my message immediately and still hasn't replied. Let the waiting game begin! |

You can turn off that function in iMessage. If you turn it off, then iMessage only indicates that the message was delivered, but will not say that the message has actually been read.

I didn't even know about that option to turn that off. Not to sound like a typical guy, but how many females do you think know about that option? I've met some females at computer jobs that are confused when navigating a start menu... |

| i still never to do this day understand why people give their phone numbers to people that they are not interested in....well, that is not true. they want a little puppy to make them feel better for those insecurity times when they don't get why they are just being pumped and dumped by guys that they are actually attracted to. |
