Altitude.003: Your thoughts

It was my first visit to Altitude last night.

I had an awesome time! It's great to have uplifting trance going all night, I don't think I've ever been to an event that had uplifting trance for more than 1 or 2 hours (depending on the DJ)... e.g. only Tiesto and John 00 Fleming played uplifting trance at Two Tribes... and we had to pay > $60 for it. Sure, they're great DJs, but I'd rather have uplifting trance for the whole night for only $10!!!

I could recognise & ID quite a few tracks, though there were a few awesome tunes that I could not ID... e.g. one that was played at 12:46am... sounded like something by push/M.I.K.E maybe... I didn't want to have to go up to the DJ every time I wanted to know what the track was. Is there a tracklist posted for each of the sets? I'm sure there'd be many people who'd love to see tracklists!

I stayed until the very end (6:00am), I was pretty tired but didn't want to miss out on anything. There were only about 15 others or so by then!

A few great tracks that I could ID were:

Push - Strange World (2000 remake)
Fire & Ice - Forever young [... or was it Neverending Melody?]
Thrillseekers - Dreaming of you
Thrillseekers - Dreaming of you (Svenson & Gielen remix)
Steve Morley - Reincarnations
4 Strings - Into the night
Cosmic gate - Exploration of space
Cosmic gate - The truth (Ferry corsten remix)
System F - Out of the blue
Freefall - Skydive (? remix)
Insigma - Open your eyes

There was also the vocal remix of Push - Strange World (played almost at the end of the night)... I guess that was the one that M.I.K.E. didn't approve of.

There was also an awesonme track that seemed to be coming of the Ralphie B - Massive vinyl (I check the record that was playing) I'd like to know what it was... it certainly was not Ralphie B - Massive Maybe it was a remix, but it sounded totally different.

So... What did you guys think of Altitude.003?

Probably the filterheadz remix...awesome trance track but doesn't sound anything like the original mix of Massive!!

I had another mad night on Friday. We really should organise a proper meet-up for the next one, which is on the 18th October I believe and will once again be featuring Sample Gee.

I've posted a tracklisting from Stama, Simon Sez and Ton-e here: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...&threadid=64975

I have also written a review for inthemix which you can read here: http://www.inthemix.com.au/p/np/viewnews.php?id=6953
