WHat subjects did you choose in 11&12?
Just interested
I chose for year 11 next year
Advanced English (2 Unit)
3 Unit Maths
Chemistry
French
Physics
Ancient History
At the end of year 11 I'm gonna drop Physics and do Extension History. I have a feeling its gonna be alot of hard work! (Which im not used to!) |

You know what...in the 5 or so years since i finished high school not once has someone ever asked to see my high school certificate, or what my grades were or if i even finished!! Its like it never counted for anything! Just gets you into tertiary education so that you can spend another 4 or so years studying then stand in the unemployment line when you get to the end of it!!
I'm not saying its not important to have, but its sure not what all the teachers and oldies hype it up to be when you go through school!! I've seen some kids go through stressing about it all instead of enjoying the most care free years of their lives. Cause life doesn't really get any better as you get older. Unless of cause you win the lotto then its all good!! |

I have no idea why I did methods, it was an absolute bloody joke. I would rock up, play drug wars on my graphic calculator (I hope that's still the norm in maths class these days) then piss off home and do no homework for the subject. I couldn't stand it.
I did no study for the first exam (multiple choice), and knew barely a quarter of the stuff on there, but by virtue of my well developed system for guessing multiple choice answers (I'll explain it to you all if you like - it actually works :D ) I was able to get a B+. In the second exam - long answer e where you had to show all the working out - I knew I was gonna bomb, so - because I'd hd all sleep the night before and needed to be right for my IT afternoon exam that afternoon, I told my mum to pick me up 45 mintues into the 90 minute exam. I was the second person - out of about 80 people in my subject - to leave. :D
I should've done vegie maths, I have no idea why I did Methods when I knew I was just gonna piss about for two semesters.
But still. It was good fun. I'm sure I dragged the TER of my mates down by about 3% by sitting next to them and ing about all methods class, so I'm sure it was worth it. :D
But still, when I look back on that year, I realise that it got me where I am today - drunk and surfing the internet at 4.13am on a Sunday morning.
