Hey everyone, Name is Steven and I live in Santa Ana, CA (orange county). I had the pleasure of being a part of the underground scene in and around LA county 2003-2005 and fell in love with the scene. Unfortunately I didn't have to good sense to believe that I could make a career in the world of electronic music and instead became an entrepreneur in search of the business that I could put my passion behind. Almost 8 years later and what feels like 16-20 years worth of my life in stress, blood, sweat and tears I've come back to the community I loved so much in order to pursue my dreams of putting on an amazing performance to some great techno beats. It may sound like a pipe dream to some of you but my goal is to create a team that will be create household name like Deadmau5. (one of my inspirations)
Current Activities I'm participating in to push my dreams forward:
- Graduated as Top Performer in a Beginner DJ Class I took last year. This was one of the best decisions of my life
- Currently interning at said DJ school and working toward becoming a DJ instructor
- Using the resources I have acquired through my career as an entrepreneur I'm starting an event production company in the same fashion as the ones who put on the underground events I remember from years past.
--unfortunately those resources are limited as I never did find the business that suited me and therefor never really made more then I needed to survive.
--however I do have a warehouse space that is perfect for a few small events a year to help build a following of people who want to support what I am trying to accomplish.
- Enrolled in the local college to freshen up my music theory, last studied in high school :/
- saving up for equipment needed to not only spin music but put on a show that will wow audience into supporting and giving feedback for future shows.
- Joining as many communities of people with similar interests in styles of music that inspire me to share ideas with, get feedback from, and possibly even make a contact or two.
The way I see it, if I can dedicate the next year to practicing, learning, and connecting with the right people, I can then dedicate the rest of my life to writing music, performing, and entertaining. Which is what I've finally decided I truly want out of life.
So, that is my long winded hello and I look forward to being an active part of this website and the Electronic Music Industry. |

while un cleverly disguised spam....the website alone is worth the visit for the lulz it will bring you. I am not even talking about the 1998 webmaster skills either.

You're exactly what's wrong with music, dip.
You shouldn't be trying to become a household name. Instead, go and get a ing reality TV show or something. Music should be made/played by people who want to share or advance it, not "get famous".
Die. |

| Thanks all for the replies. I didn't mean to seem like I was spamming with the DJ school, I'll take that down if it's an issue. As far as the fame, it's more of being good enough and entertaining enough to have that kind of a following. I'm working on some stuff right now, I'm going to try and get something up before the end of the year. |

| I'll be nice. Going to a dj school (while pathetic in it's own right...burn that money instead) is not going to make you famous. If you want to be famous kill someone or sleep with Oprah. |
