yeah but was she born in brazil or japan? |
She was born in a local hospital (well, not really so local, it's like she was born in Edmonton and then moved to your neck of woods later in life).

Either way i just meant that she was probably second generation or born in japan as the last asians to enter south america i believe were the ones to cross the bering strait. (if we are talking more than at most 3-4 generations back). |
Actually, we've had a steady influx of immigrants from Japan for a century now, being the largest colony outside Japan. Most of my Japanese looking friends are the (great) grandchildren of immigrants, and they're as Japanese as I'm Portuguese/Italian/Dutch/English/German/Arab/Jewish/Native-Brazilian/African :p

Congratulations to you both. Marriage is, regardless of what many say, a great manly step to take which brings many blessings and, of course, unlimited sexual favours. While there may be some challenges along this road of matrimony, remember that those will only make the relationship more solid (solidder? WTF?).
Cheers! |

Very unlikely. We've been living together for the last couple of years, and it didn't have an impact on my presence then, I doubt it will make any difference now.
As a matter of fact, it's just a social thing. For all I care the most important day of our relationship began when we both decided we'd be together, 9 years ago. Since then we've had a long distance relationship that lasted 30 months, lived together for 20 more months (or so), and had a normal relationship before that for a number of years.
Throughout this time she's constantly pulled me up, and I wouldn't be the person I am without her support. I can only hope I've been doing the same. So, for all I care, this wedding means very little compared to the days that have passed - the only difference is that from now on she gets to have my surname, and I'm going to take hers :p

More solid. As a rule of thumb, you add -er to monosyllables.
(I wish monosyllables in English were as easy to spot as it is in our languages though :p)
Thanks for the advice, by the way :) |
