The most significant numbers are "would you cheat if you knew you wouldn't get caught", with a whopping 74%/68% - but when you go on to say everyone is a cheater, either everyone is anonymously lying to researchers (it's not like you say these things to their faces).
And this is in the US, I couldn't find any numbers here in Brazil. As a matter of fact, according to other researches, there's been an increase in the number of people who have cheated on their spouses over time - although no number ever goes above 25% (1 out of 4 people).

I've never cheated on a GF (apart from one that said at the beginning of the relationship "lets have an open thing until we get to know each other" - boy, did she regret that and lose her her two best friends in the process. It was her fault though for suggesting it) and to my knowledge, I've never been cheated on (and I'm not an oblivious person). and I live in LA. In Hollywood. Where it's easier to have sex, than to not. I think you could even get laid without having to pay. Well at least in West Hollywood :p
It really is the people you hang around with and your rather low shared appreciation for moral fiber. I only have one friend that's ever been with a hooker before and she was his for the whole holiday in Thailand so I suppose he was even faithful to her.
So yes, it's most certainly you, and the people you hang with. |
