Really good year, overall. I don't know if anyone remembers me saying it, but 2011 was an abysmal year for me. After shaking off those tendrils, 2012 turned out to be pretty mad. Most of the year was a big splurge of cathartic partying, meeting lots of cool new people and having a few rosey moments, but by the end of the year I'd moved into a new place and started a new job on better money and more scope for progression, so I also managed to have some responsible, adult achievements as well. I'll start 2013 with just about every aspect of my life improved, and some big things to look forward to in the new year already.
...Sorry for breaking the prevailing mood of misery, by the way. |

Well, yeah. Organising the ceremony was an excruciating experience though! |

Not too good, and not memorable in the least. I basically did nothing but work, eat, sleep and work again (and work out in between, but nowhere near as often as I'd like), and work this year was stagnant in terms of how much I learned and how much experience I gained compared to previous years. Pretty much the only good thing that came out of this year was Amsterdam Dance Event, where I met up with my cousin and her boyfriend after almost a year, stayed in an awesome hostel with a lot of very stoned people from all over the world and saw DJ Deep whipping a crowd of notoriously lazy dutch clubbers into a frenzy with pure, genuine DJ skill the likes of which I thought were long gone from major events.
I'll have to make some serious changes for 2013. |

I can't complain about the year I've had.
Many bumps along the way, but it turned out to be exactly what I'd envisioned.
New, crucial endeavours on the way in 2013, so I'm nervous (in a good way) and excited.
Happy New Year to everyone.
Ciao for now :) |

worst year I can remember, most likely been depressed half of it. broke up with gf, had a close friend die of a heart attack at 32, hairline receding -> mojo at an all time low. midlife crisis!
not even excited about next year, it's not like a new number is going to change everything.
this night is going to be a blast though. in my hometown we have a carnival and everyone dresses up for the occation. this was me in my self-made costume last year:

Started off pretty , but had the best summer of my life, for many reasons. It's been busy as since September, and that won't change until I graduate in April.
Although 2013 is shaping up to be a decent year, as I'll effectively be starting another chapter of my life |

best year so far. I had spent so many years studying that after 30 + years of work, finally seeing things pay off feels good although it has been slowly improving the last 5 years or so. Health is good and my relationship with my gf is also great. I honestly could not claim to have a good year my entire life save the last 3-4 years. So .. chin up.
Excited for the future I guess. |
