i'd post it in music discussion but it's packed with trance crackers and whatnot and i think i'd get biased or uneducated feedback from the deadmau5 kids or whatever. are we still hating on that guy?

i love these guys. shoegaze-y electronic music.. i dunno.

ok you guys talk now
Chimney
Way too many Youtube views. My Raybans didn't connect to the track.

it is a guy singing. female model.

@the other guy- i hardly think 100k views is too many, unless that was sarcasm of some sort that you were employing. i'd call it mildly successful for an underground act. i'd be happy as if one of my tracks hit 100k views, . i'm happy as that some of them have 2000+ views, you see.

..okay, only one of them has 2000+ views. the rest of them suck :/

it was a joke. too bad Avana wasn't around. HE would have enjoyed it.

pretty much sounds like all the other post new wave/disco stuff that popped up a few yeas ago. Can't say it sucks but it doesn't really cut thru the rest. I've heard worst offending music posted but if you were looking for some sort of acknowledgement regarding the artist, sorry. Also, i noticed it didn't have a dubstep wobble down at the build.

why you make fun of deadmau5 is a little odd. The production is dated, the track sounds like about 10 other tracks, there is very little one could say it novel in away way. Unfortunately deadmau5's tracks typically fare much better under scrutiny.

obsoyo nate.

i liked it. not a huge fan of the (male) vocals though.

hmm, figured you guys would like it moreso than indicated. i suppose it's not everyone's taste. edit: also figured i'd throw this out there- the album was completely done in ableton at the guy's home studio; i think he did a tremendous job of producing, recording and mastering his work, especially for an "amateur"

i'm assuming L4C is taking the piss but if not i'm definitely not seeing any (or, at the least, very many) disco elements in this track. i mean, if i posted up something from the revenge or something, or if you said this had a lot of elements from the progressive house sound from 10 years ago i'd be forced to agree

also (jay, pkc, jp): wtf happened to c0r, guys? barely 1 page worth of threads? 4 to 5-ish old schoolers regularly posting only? anotherway83 still posting on the regular, without getting verbally abused? i am confuse. jay- 있어요 muthaa!

@Lagrangian- never been a fan of scissor sisters. that track in particular reminds me too much of the top-40 bastardization of EDM that seems to be all the rage nowadays. heh, it reminds me of the first time i went vinyl shopping when i picked up my first pair of turntables back when i was 18; went to this record store out of town, saw a cool-looking graphic vinyl for scissor sisters- comfortably numb (thinking it was just some random trance remix of the pink floyd track). so i bring it and a bunch of trance stuff (vandit, positiva stuff, you know) up to the cashier.. she's going through them all, and once she hits the SS vinyl she stops and asks, "you realize what this is, right?" and, embarassed that she thought i didn't know what i was doing (i didn't) i said, "oh yeah of course!" i get home, drop the needle on it, and am brought to violent fits of seizures and ear-gouging falsetto vocals. worst uneducated decision i've made, music-wise. now that my tastes have matured, i can appreciate and respect them for what they are and what their goals are musically, but i'm still not a fan of their particular style of work.

i was only partially serious, it screams...
