it's not a hunger strike. more like a severely messed up diet... she sure is looking pretty good for someone who has been on a hunger strike for more than 3 weeks

So call it a half assed hunger strike then lol. If it somehow manages to help solve the problems the native community has, let her do her thing I say. I fully agree that its attention whorish and rather ridiculous, but the problems in her community are quite ridiculous as well, so maybe the action is fitting in that regard, especially if some good comes out of this.

What do you have against her? Why the hate? Do you not agree with her goal and what she trying to achieve for her people? The government has been ignoring their calls and their demands to talk or some time now. The native issue has been the elephant in the room and for too long they have been ignored.
Enough is enough. This is Canada and the situation has gotten so bad that the UN has also condemned this government for their lack of action towards the aboriginal people in this country.
I dont think many of you know where this woman is coming from and why she is desperate..

I don't hate her. What I want is truthful negotiations without use of lies and deception.

You gotta love our friends over at SunTV. You give these guys the Native question, they have fact sheets all over the place for every corrupt band leader from Yellowknife to Labrador. You ask them about the 2011 Federal Election and ehh... well...

Thats exactly it though. The government is not negotiating and they are doing things behind their backs without and discussions. Which lies and deceptions are you referring to? Sun TV’s so called report?

Actually, about Chief Spence's so called 'hunger' strike. But hey, end justifies the means, right?

There is mismanagement on both sides here but my main issue is for example when you have the government claiming that they are spending millions to provide clean water to these communities but the water plants never gets built. The government thinks that just by throwing money to these people their problems would just go away? Blaming the aboriginal leaders is just ignoring the bigger picture.

every party involved, from average Native to the Chiefs to the federal govt need an attitude adjustment and a change in mentality.
I also don't understand how hard is it to hire contractors to build water plants. If someone threw money at me, I know that I can come up with a plan to fix the problem, instead of waiting for someone to fix the problem for me.
