Anyone know a good martial art forum at all? I'm thinking of starting up and i wanna look into it abit more.

I like the acrobatic part best.
Was half way to start doing capoeira but was a bit scared by all the music and instruments. (no offense)
So if you just want to learn the fancy jumps and flips and dont really mind the actual fighting efficency or tradition stuff, where should you go?

Looks like theres quite a few guys in here that knows quite a bit on the subject so i dared to ask... :)

One can only go so far in martial arts training without accepting and understanding the philosophical and mental aspect of the martial art. As my Soke's master once said, the student must pursue the "attainment of the 'mind and eyes of god'" to become invincible.

Smeagol, First you should go to a few capoeira practices and see for your self... maybe the instruments aren't as scary as you think...

Second, the arcobatics is only a small part of the capoeira, and in some groups even prohibited.

If u want to study all the flips u can just go to a "floor gymnastic course" or something.... :)

You might have a point there, maybe it's not martial art im looking for. :)

However I think the martial arts style acrobatics (whatever that now might be) look a great deal fancier than the pure acrobatic acrobatics if you see what I mean?

guess I wont find anyone teaching just that part however.

Maybe i'll try capoeira.

I took Wing Chun for a year but the school closed down. I have been wanting to get into Akido for the past 2 years but all we have my area are Tae Kwon Do and American Karate schools.

Only martial arts i've been to was a really bad Tae Know Do.....Even though we had two Tae Know Do schools in my town, the one i went to was totally suxxore

I think i'm going to create my own martial fighting style soon :)

Gonna b called:

Drums please......... Drunken Monkey Style!

Concept: Dancing around like a drunk monkey combined with a drunk yoda totally serious and making scary growls....Thus....making the opponents laugh to their death!!! :disbelief
Come on! Which one of you wouldn't laugh their asses of seeing a 15 year old do that?

Oh... after i've made opponents laugh i would use Japp Shaggi (or sum tae kwon do trick right in their face) PWN3D!!!
