When I look up in the sky and see a jumbo jet flying in it, I can't help but wonder how the hell man got this big hunk of mental to float above the clouds. I've always wanted to be a pilot—part of that came from the fascination of airports while traveling as a kid—but I find it amazing that something like this could exist. So unappreciated, IMO.
What do you find especially amazing?

I realise that this is somewhat of a cliché for me, but I'm fascinated by bird nests. Just the idea that these little tiny creatures (or quite large in some cases, I suppose), with no training at all, can make these intricate little structures that actually stay up in trees. I mean, they don't even have hands.
