This isn't true. Some very big DJs say the track and artist on whatever label before every song. |

some. And i mentioned that. Most don't.
I think the biggest issue with EDM in terms of sales of records is that , well if you were to use live bands as a metaphor, they restrict the sale of their music to other bands. That is what beatport is. Normal people don't go there.
yes, performances will always be a way to make money but it is pretty interesting that artists and labels seem to not understand that there is a huge market and that selling to djs is like bands selling music to bands.
As any producer, even big producers, and they will all tell you sales are a joke and djing is a necessity, The only ones that make money are those that sell on itunes to normal people. Lolo, probably the most known public figure on here that isn't anonymous has mentioned many times how utterly ridiculous sales are.
A number 1 beatport hit can sell 500 copies during the slow months.
Yet EDM seems to be the most in demand music. The scene is generating millions yet it seems to be focused in one area and that tends to foster an unhealthy scene. |

| I think the biggest issue is how you write lengthy ing essays for topics that never warrant it ever, and nobody ever takes you seriously. You might be wasting your time. |

I play once or twice a week for the money (and free drinks and snatch...I also like playing music). I have a day job and produce 0 of the music that I play. As much as I hate those twats, I couldn't do it.
I would love to get my hands on an 808 here. You would think that they would be easy to find....but no. |
I may visit China in the Summer - Shanghai and HK if I do. Hopefully I can see you drop some tranzzz bombs. |

are you more of a picture type guy. Perhaps you can just click that little ignore button. Pretty sure my posts are rated an IQ level above your own and I don't see why you would want to stress yourself out. |

| People are constantly on their phones now days anyway. Thats modern life. That being said, anything that decreases the mystery of the DJ i am in favor of. The problem is that now days some people can literally get on a stage and have mixed in key and traktor basically to bang out 2 hours of anthems and the stupid people in the crowd think that it took some real skill. hopefully this helps people realize that the idiot on the stage didnt do much. |

| i'm really not trying to depose the dj. The main point is that the dj is no longer the end user. That used to be the case. People still have not adapted. The amount of labels with exclusive distribution on beatport is scary. |

Pretty sure you have like a 6th grade writing level, so I really wouldn't try to attack someone's IQ who graduated from college in real life. |

When asking a question, one usually uses a "?". |
