Should the use of drones on US soil be allowed? (or anywhere else for that matter)

| quote: | | Christopher Dorner, the homicidal former cop currently on the run from the LAPD, is a target of airborne drones on U.S. soil, an anonymous source told London's Express. A senior police source told the Express, “The thermal imaging cameras the drones use may be our only hope of finding him. On the ground, it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack.” The fugitive has already killed three people, according to police, and has a $1 million bounty on his head. Dorner, who has military training, is believed to be hiding in the wilderness of California's San Bernardino Mountains, where locating him without air support may be all but impossible. |
SOURCE
Some sources say he's the first to be hunted down by drones on US soil, others say it's happened before.
Who knows what the to believe, really.

It was only a matter of time before this POS government used this technology on its own people.
In other news, the US Air Force blows 1 billion dollars designing a new computer system that was never completed...

| quote: | | For the United States Air Force, installing a new software system has certainly proved to be a wicked problem. Last month, it canceled a six-year-old modernization effort that had eaten up more than $1 billion. When the Air Force realized that it would cost another $1 billion just to achieve one-quarter of the capabilities originally planned — and that even then the system would not be fully ready before 2020 — it decided to decamp. |

Helicopters rely on human operation. Folks would prefer being shot from the sky by a man, rather than The Man. |

| The cost of war is lives. Now with these drones its an indiscriminate murder of people. Basically all the serious outcome of war without putting any lives at stake to take other lives. I obviously don't advocate killing more of our own over there but it's becoming to easy to just drone people like a videogame. |

Really though, how is it at all different to police killing suspects while attempting to arrest them? |
