The FB event for this says "This is the debut AWAKENING event in San Francisco with Insomniac & TORQ. AWAKENING will be happening every thursday at Ruby Skye starting February 28th with Tritonal!"
I know it will be kept hush hush but I'm super curious about the finances behind this deal. |

They should help with Fridays too, been sparse some nights recently.
Is this a good thing? I guess sf thur, la Friday combinations on the way. They should take over sd and throw in Saturdays. |

Dunno I have just given up seeing trance headliners in SF except once in a blue moon. Things have changed a lot since 1015 booked trance, I guess the economics of coming to northern California on the weekend went south. Pun intended.
Luckily there is no shortage of other nightlife here on the weekend cause the only thing that could ever get me to go to LA was EDC. not that I don't like LA, I actually do like to visit, but a weekend in LA is neither easy nor cheap and I prefer to put the money toward an epic WMC etc.
If they would just bump up the starting time of the headliner to 10 or 11 I could go but when you have them starting at 12:45 even if I stay for an hour I don't get to sleep until 3 drunk and hungover the next day and its just totally shot. :) |

| Torq assured me that ticket prices won't be going up.....so torq/ ruby keeps making the same profits, and insomniac is merely helping with booking and promoting out of the goodness of their heart......Nash that can't be true. |

| Lets hope Insomniac can bring in some fresh talent. Ruby Skye's bookings over the last year have been pretty poor. They used to be very diverse, but as of late its been all electro with some trance here and there. |
