I don't have tickets and won't be able to leave work until after 9pm tonight... so, looks like I won't be going.
This is upsetting. Let me know how it is! |

| Have fun and be safe everyone. Wish Miami could get Cox to play somewhere other than Mansion and Ultra. |

what a blast!
that line though wtf? i don't understand why it doesn't move at all for 15 minutes? people with no tickets were getting in quicker than us. that's a pretty big fail.
got there around 1045.. didnt get in until 12 maybe. anyway - great to see you xpander and nice meeting you AJ.
place was pretty packed but not too uncomfortable. was able to find spots both upstairs and downstairs without much problem. crowd was good except everyone seems to be walking around the whole time instead of dancing lol.
carl - oh my oh my. as soon as i walked in he dropped shadow child - so high (hot since 82 remix). MOMMA MIA! threw down proper the entire time. i heard he went on around 1015.. i left around 345.. i think he spun til a little past 4. not bad for a wednesday night.
was hoping for a snow storm to work from home. pretty sure i see sunlight right now lol. |

that:
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."
drop was perfect!
plus, he said he wants to come back to Output, seemed very pleased with the place |

Carl Cox is amazing!!!
He's labelled as a "Tech House" DJ
Just curious... would love to hear about which other DJs play similar style to him...?
Sad though... that he rarely comes to NYC.
While on that topic, why is it...
Tiesto and PVD haven't come to NYC in ages?
The whole EDM DJ touring rationale boggles my mind... |

seeing as he's turning 51 this year, more like:
what DJ's adopted his style
| quote: | | Tiesto and PVD haven't come to NYC in ages? |
Tiesto @ marquee 2/16
PvD @ Pacha 11/22 (think he was there once before that in 2012 also...)
Tiesto was expensive at Marquee
liked the 11/2012 Pacha set of PvD, but of course that aint PvD of a decade ago

Are there any DJs that adopted his style?
Tiesto sells out Webster Hall (4 days in a row) in 2010 and Hammerstein (2 days) 2011, but then plays a 2 hour set at a club... just weird imo... But you're right! (thanks for the reminder) I forgot about his Marquee gig., and yea... I am sure it probably had to do with his relationship with the Marquee Franchise...
PvD sells out Pier 60, headlines events all over the world, but plays at pacha on a wednesday night? just weird! can't remember the last time he was in NYC! Thanks for the reminder though.. you're right! |
