I believe actually its assumed the club will be losing $ on his and Deadmau5's deals (and maybe Calvin Harris) too. the #s just don't support it.
but when you take in the added revenue the hotel will take in and somehow that gets mixed into the equation... and that the owner of the club is a billionaire who has said he doesn't care if he makes $ there and pay whatever it takes to steal those 3 away from XS, that is your answer why those 3 djs are getting so much.
also, i'm almost positive the 7,000 people figure takes into account all 5 levels, only 2 of which are the nightclub. at least 1 is a restaurant and 1 is a lounge. |

per the published #s, yes. and that pales in comparison to deadmau5's $450K per gig. |

| Any word on when those April shows start? I'll be there the weekend of April 12-13 and it would be cool to check out Hakkasan, but they still just say "Opening April". :/ |

If the dj booth was enclosed, how could one tell it was tiesto playing? Seems like a lot of money to turn knobs or insert cd's etc. $100 tickets with 1000 attendees = $100000. Based on math above, 3,333 attendees needed to break even. Good thing vegas has those $10 coronas to offset dj costs. |
Are you sure you are not in the business? You seem to be spot on with everything you say. You should start a nightclub consulting practice instead of giving away all of your great knowledge for free on TA |

Seems Ibiza might be having an issue with bookings this year.
Vegas has new clubs, the clubs are getting larger. The pool parties are getting bigger. And the artists and pay is growing.
Artists prefer to do Vegas over Ibiza it seems like now - even in interviews. |
