pretty sure ibiza not gonna miss Tiesto, Deadmau5, or any of the swedes |
I actually think so. Ibiza does get more of a techno turnout, but lately people have gone there for the weekly fix of the top 10 djs.
Deadmau5 Tiesto and SHM was a huge draw last year.
Vegas is the new hotspot it seems like. |

I would not consider anywhere Tiesto plays, as the new hot spot. |

I think Vegas is and will soon be "was" the hotspot, even with all the crap opening.
Just look at the talk. The discussion is more about all these battles rather than people discussing the actual events there. Vegas has done what it tried to do in the early 2000s again and with A LOT more success. But I can already see the burning out...Vegas will never be Ibiza, because the "sunrise" will never be possible in Vegas and that's what kinda makes Ibiza special in its own right. I know this, and I've never been there!
This will last a few more years. Let's give the next round of clubs and everything their chance to pop up...and then dilute everything in the end and people will lose interest.

up until recently i had the mindset that there was no way that Vegas would compete with Ibiza... but look who Pacha has lost alone: all of the SHM, Erick Morillo, Tiesto, Pete Tong and Defected.
and most of them have picked up Vegas residencies.
Now for me Ibiza is a magical in way Vegas never will be, but Vegas is closing the gap for sure. |

the key word there is magical and I completely agree. Vegas will be good but it's all an "illusion". A mirage in the desert |

And Ibiza will be better because of it. |

I used to be a huge fan of tiesto. Not a fan anymore but still give him credit for doing his thing and making bank.
But yesterday i was listening to his podcast on Sirius, and he dropped a kelly clarkson song then another pop song back to back.
That just shows what vegas is moving toward....will never stand close to ibiza |
