This isn't a im sooo hungover thread. This is a im turning 31 thread and im coming to realize I don't drink much anymore and when I do I really don't like it.

I don't have fun drinking anymore and Im starting to think I am allergic to it. 2 beers will give me a splitting headache now in the morning. I don't sleep well if i have alcohol in my system, I sweat and generally while I'm drunk my filters come right off and I'll say anything ed up thing as a joke.

Done. Wondering if anyone else whos in their 30s now is beginning to realize alcohol isn't as fun as it once was

yeah. Beer went first (just lost the taste for it, even craft brews), then wine (just made me tired). On the rare occasion that I consume anything alcoholic now, it's something quality that I can sip and enjoy over a long period of time - single malt Scotch, Pernod in the summer.

Probably close to a decade since I've drank anything in quantity - don't miss hangovers or being blithering drunk one iota.

Coincidently, I'm "celebrating" one month of sobriety (no drinking) today. Haven't had a sip since I found out that I'm embarking on fatherhood.

I haven't smoked in almost three months, which used to be my crutch if I stopped drinking for more than a week before.

I haven't gone without a drink or smoke for a month since boot camp (7 years ago).

Feels good :)

Same here, but a bit longer ago.
After I met my wife I didn't go out as much as before, and the fun of drinking beer got less. Never really missed it though.
Occasionally I drink a beer, but not more than a few.
When I started to go out I also could do without alcohol. Later on I did drink a lot of beer, but while being a student having a hangover was not a big deal compared to having a daily job.

Hear, hear.

I've never been a big fan of alcohol anyway, and it's been a while since I adopted the "Drink Once a Year Policy" so I can remind myself once a year why I don't drink in the other 364 days.

I'm not sure it's got anything to do with age, in my case. To this day, I can't see why people like beer, wine, and deep house.

Has TA completed it's metamorphosis into retirement home yet?

Alcohol is pretty much the worst way of getting intoxicated, but I still do it as a social thing.

GHB. Not as bad for you, less intoxicating, no hangovers and more fun. Dangerous if abused though

Only the with speak in such absolutes. And when you have to convince people you are not quitting because you drink too much because you hardly drink, you drink too much.

I developed a weird allergy which ended up vomiting blood after 2 glasses of wine with dinner. Thought I had the bug but it turns out it was the alcohol. Was one of the things I Iked to collect.now I drink tea. Bull.
