Ultra After Parties :D

Wow, um.... anybody wanna chime in on this?? :nervous:
Judging from your event choices, I'm guessing you're pretty young and/or new to the scene. That entire list makes me wanna shoot myself (being a tad facetious), but I believe in people enjoying themselves however they want. If I HAD to choose from that list I'd probably go with Kaskade because I really liked him back in the day when his sound was much different. Sander Van Doorn has talent, but he's negated most of that by changing his sound as well. He can still lay down some tracks, though. If you like Skrillex, then you should probably check that party out, as it's got some hot artists right now in that scene. Really, it just depends on what you wanna hear.
What I find interesting about your list is that you've compiled some of the least music driven clubs in the nation to possibly visit. Not only that, but you've picked some of the more expensive parties. You may have been better off going to Ultra and experiencing the festival and wide array of music. I do like your assertion that longer sets are much better, so maybe there is hope for you..... just kidding. :tongue2
Anyway, there are plenty of people on here that would be willing to direct you to some great parties if you expand on what sound you like and what you feel a clubbing experience should be like. Are you a girl or guy? Traveling with a big group? Like bottle service? etc.......
Help us help you, haha.......
/infomercial. :tongue3 |

@DPetey81
I've been going to different events, but I just procrastinated on buying ultra tickets and you have people trying to sell tickets at prices that are really not worth it. which has brought me to just going to after party events. There are events half the price of these that I listed that will be twice the fun, but those are always around and for a special occasion I was wanting to take the advantage and spend $200 on just 2 events where the DJ doesn't have to fight against Ultra changing up the mix. DJ's show their skills in club sets.
I'm a guy, but going in a mix group
These are DJ's I would see in Ultra... I figure 3-5 hour sets at the club. |

Go see Eric Prydz at Space. I think you'll love the music he's spinning and the vibe is so thick there. Much better environment than those shows at swank places. Of course if you throw around some serious dough and get a bottle or something and there's hot girls in your group, then it changes things.
I gotta mention, seeing a guy like Prydz on the Terrace for a 5 hour set that lasts until 7 in the morning or so might spoil you. Then you'll be a jaded like the rest of us. :haha: :tongue3 |

| Oh and if you think you'll have the energy to do Ultra all day plus the night events you better have some ridiculous drugs. Every year I see guys and girls selling the last day at rock bottom prices because they completely partied themselves out. |

| I started thinking about this, too...... None of those parties listed will have anything near a 5 hour set, and probably not 3 either. If you haven't been to ultra I'd recommend trying to score some tix last minute and go, otherwise just go to the parties. That's what most of us on here do. I haven't been to ultra in years and have little to no desire to go because the others events are way better as a whole. I second the notion of Prydz at space being up your alley and I predict it to be the set/party of the week. If the bottles/models places are more your comfort zone than don't let any idiots like us talk you out of it. You will have fun and those places are pretty impressive overall. Definitely try to get out to another place or two though. With a big group, I can think of no better place to chill than Villa 221 on Sunday for Last Resort. Top notch artists and vibe, and something different music wise than you're probably used to. Ya never know. ;) |

| If you want help tell us what you like other than the commercial dj's you listed already. I love to break folks free from paying $100+ for some ty event that has the worst crowds and extortion priced drinks. I've had the best times with my friends for $30 bucks or less. |
