Have any of you ran into this problem? Not all VST's show up on Live 9. So far, it's Absynth Presets, B4II, Kontakt 4, Pro-53. Any ideas? I'm gonna hit up Support in a bit.
***EDIT*** I looked it up and it seems that I'm running 64bit version of Live. I need to run the 32bit version to have older plugins show up. Imma try it in a bit an let you guys know the outcome. |

| How do you change from 32 bit to 64 bit and vice versa? |

| This thing has the worst installation method on PC. Why the eff does it always want to install to C:ProgramData? C'mon Ableton, pull your heads out of your asses. |

| I dont get it. Why to upgrade to 9? I cant see any reason. Minor changes, wait at least 6 months or change the DAW. I will never pay for 9 upgrade. |

I only upgraded because I bought Live 8 at a ridiculous price a few weeks ago and got Live 9 for free as part of the deal. If not for that, I probably wouldn't be upgrading. |

I hate that too.. and it always wants to install vst's in the Steinberg folder instead of the designated "vst" folder.. Good thing is I always install both 32bit and 64bit into the same "vstplugin" folder so I know where everything is..
kind of like this:
/vstplugins
/ Massive
/ 32bit
/ 64bit
and now that Ableton Supports 64bit, I can copy each folder and then plug it in to the new 64bit folder, point Ableton to it and I'm all set..
Very easy.. |

When you download Live 9, you have the option to download the 32 bit or 64 bit version or both. You'll need to install both if you want to use both 32 & 64 bit versions. Oddly enough, Ableton recommends people to use the 32 bit version unless you start getting "Out Of Memory" errors. |

| I just installed the 32 bit version and that fixed the problem. Missing VST's are most likely 32 bit versions. |

| it doesnt have a 32 bit plugin bridge? Thank for the harmony to midi function tho. It annoys me when companies add arguably stupid esoteric and forget key things that everyone will want. |

Nope, no bridge. I guess they're thinking that 32-bit plugins are a thing of the past. I wish somebody would tell that to Sound Toys, Eiosis, etc. |

No kidding. And, like DjWoody mentioned above, they're encouraging people to stick with the 32-bit version. Hellooooo....Ableton. It's 2000-and-f'ing-13. |
