Maybe they want to try something different, signalling the move to their new label?

I predict it'll have two or three brilliant tracks that will become instant party classics, and the rest will be almost totally forgettable. You know, like all their previous albums.

Which tracks would that be on Human After All?
wotyzoid
Technologic and Robot Rock?

^Television rules the Nation is also pretty awesome.

Alive 2007 is one of the best mix albums of all time, the sound is incredible.. put that on at any random party and everyone's having a good time.

I'm curious about this new album.. kinda pissed I missed them on their 2007 tour.

I find it strange that so many people are dismissing it before hearing it when Daft Punk has never really released a bad album. Sure, some have been better than others, but I'm excited! :)

Exactly. Play either of these two at any house party and everyone goes nuts. Play any other track from that album and everyone will stand around and shrug.

Exactly this.

I've been a huge fan of Daft Punk since I first heard Da Funk in '95, I was 11. following that, Homework, Discovery, and Human After All, I loved every album the put out.

Seeing them in 2007 in Mississauga absolutely blew my mind and still to this day holds strong as the best performance ive ever seen live.

while the tron album was different from their mainstream stuff, its was beautiful in its own way. also, the remixes album was fantastic.

in closing, i have my album preordered and will be ignoring the internet the second i hear the album has leaked, i dont want any shoddy knock offs ruining my experience of this new album.

tl;dr
cant wait for the new album.

It's the hypocrisy of most trance forums. Bash armin and co for being "commercial" but it's okay with Daft punk, even though they are commercial. :haha: I however, think both are over-rated and boring. There are hundreds of artist out there that destroy anything Daft Punk have evermade. Their track derezzed in Tron legacy was like hearing a chainsaw.

Daft Punk has done way more to "legitimize" Electronic Music than Arming Van Poo ren.

Say them in the 90's, saw them in 07. 07 was totally press play and dance around to the visuals. They were more fun in the 90's, minus the technology. Also saw Thomas in a few impromptu DJ sets at after parties/smaller venues. Good taste, mixing.
