lol, thanks for the tip. I might just leave it at home as I did for Sasha and Carl Cox. You really do have a better time when you're without your camera or your phone. But at the same time: I want to make my friends who aren't coming eat their words because they have their doubts that c+c will deliver at stereo. what to do, what to do...

LOL... don't want to hijack the thread, but I used to be hellbent on recording concerts or shows. Mainly to do just that, show other people. Then I realized that I wasn't watching them myself, or that my friends pretty much didn't care.

So I stopped, I stopped bringing my camera anywhere. Mostly as well, for what we listen to, it's usually way too dark and even with a top of the line camera (in my budget) the bass would distort. I figured, I'd just watch someone else's videos (ie. Kotsy) or whomever else.

But now I realized that I like looking back on my old videos, I didn't then, because the night or show was fresh in my mind, but now even the stupidest of videos of the silliest or seemingly non important thing is enjoyable. Me and my friends spend 2 hours watching DEMF videos from my PlayBook a few weeks ago and had a great time, looking at people in the crowd, laughing at the conversations that were picked up, hearing DJs play the tracks that now we know a few years late.

I dunno really where I'm going with this, but I'm essentially going to start recording again, even for a few minutes if anything, but not to edit and add and post to youtube or FB. Just my own review, my own moments of capture of an experience.

I just wish some of these phone companies would just finally get their together and put decent cameras that can absorb light and decent mics. Those new Lumuias have AMAZING video!

absolutely. To me its not about posting it for the world to see. Enough people do that already and do it well. We've taken 100's of videos over the last ten years and most of them are just downright crap...but what they do really well is bring back the essence of the night (good or bad).

Great for a good laugh or cry...now and then.

The only problem is when 20% of the front of the dancefloor has their phones or cameras out at the start of a DJ set or during a particularly good moment. This happens far too often and it really detracts from the vibe.

Yup... All my DEMF vids from off to the side, or the back.

Yeah, I'm sad I'm missing this one, been to their last 3 shows at Stereo.

Just be careful with the camera Kotsy, especially after Tenaglia's complaints about people taking too many pictures/videos.

Even though I know the Superparty was a different angle that the club took - the "paparazzi" was SO frustrating that night!

I didn't even notice. Guess Tale of Us had me in my own little world... Those vampyros lesbos chained to each other were pretty annoying though.
