OK, back on topic - yeah you could do much of this with a MIDI controller, but not as seamlessly or elegantly. Just like you can achieve most of what Maschine does with an Akai MPK, but not as easily and not with integration as tight as the Maschine hardware/software has. I don't plan on buying this Softube thing, but it's cool and I'd like to see other developers do something similar (esp. FabFilter).

I think that softube thing will be about as successful as the Focusrite Liquid Mix though. It strikes me that these things are appealing to those that don't have the money to buy them and are wowed by them, then when they do have enough money and experience to to accurately judge they realise they're just not necessary.

to be honest I find it refreshing when I get my ass handed. I mean the bit about his boy and the girl. If you put care into your insults, and are not overly mean, i can respect your creativity. And I drew first blood which does give him a certain overkill privilege. Also, it keeps me on my toes. And by bringing ones kids into the picture, i mean that pretty much opens up any and all styles of internet bitch slapping. I thought he was rather polite. Cogent without having to make a scene. Not really my style but it works.
My approach is more wagnerian. I suppose the modern term would be drama queen with a slight zest of anti semitism.
