| Atlanta? What a joke. Out of all the big EDM cities Atlanta would be last on the list. |

Would you rather it be in the mega cities and the price be way higher? Also where would people camp in LA, MIAMI, or NYC? You're not thinking logistics here. |

| I HATE the fact that theyre doing a world tour. i think the world tour completely cheapens the exclusivity of the festival. to be one of the lucky 180k people worldwide who got one of the beloved "golden tickets" to tomorrowland in belgium makes the whole experience so much more worthwhile and meaningful when you get there. not too mention the world tours are never really close to the true vibe of the original in the home city/country. |

There is plenty of room in the highlands or desert areas around LA, or anywhere between LA and SF, that can handle a 4 day camping event.
The reason ID&T is choosing Atlanta is because they want their international crowds. Flying into West coast from Europe, or anywhere overseas, is like twice as expensive as it is flying into the East coast. The only place that the West coast has an advantage of from a flight point of view is Asia and Mexico, Asians don't really travel for dance music festivals, and Mexicans are too broke. Atlanta is also a major airport hub for flight transfers, making it overall an easier location.
Price is always a major factor as well. Land in Cali is probably 10x more than it is in Atlanta. In the end it's all about the $$$.
One thing that has me a bit worried is that ID&T is relying completely on getting people to Tomorrowland from outside of Atlanta. Let’s be honest, Atlanta doesn't have a big dance music community, then on top of that, they don't really have any other major cities within driving distance, at least not any worth mentioning in the dance music community. Therefore 90% of the crowd is going to be a traveling crowd, and most of those are going to have to either A. drive 10 hours, or B. fork up the money to fly. Unlike Europe we don't have a cheap and easy transit system of trains, making location in Europe less of an important aspect to festival planning. You can stick the thing in the middle of nowhere and people will still easily be able to get to it. That is not the case in the US, location is EVERYTHING. |

| I'm still skeptical this is happening. But don't sell Atlanta too short. The right line-up plus the right promotion could easily get the crowd to be 30-40% local. Of course it could be a disaster and end up only being 5%-10% local. |

| makes sense since people from 204 countries went to tomorrowland that they would have to put it some where thats easy for travel hence it being atl. |

So why not in the North East (way more cities you can travel from by car and even easier to travel from Europe) ?
Florida would have been great as well. |

| News trickling out from the #Tomorrowland Twitter Feed that Atlanta got #TomorrowWorld. Although they seem not to happy about #EDMSnob it seems like we can expect the official announcement within the next couple of weeks. |

| Atlanta is 100 percent confirmed. Artists are posting the listing now and told to remove them. |

Funny, I always considered the 10 hour road trip as a standard part of the party kid experience, having been made to do it so many times. More than a few of those times I'd make that huge drive only to be turned away at the door when I got there.
You mean most people don't have to get in the car for at least 6 hours every time an international headliner comes out? Fascinating |
