My two cents:
The internet is a tricky business. You can meet some strange s on it, but you can also make some really awesome friends.
I personally have never met anyone who lived more than 150 miles away, so I can't really judge that situation. But I've been friends with someone online for over five years and we just met this past summer. They're absolutely amazing and are the reason for me becomming a TA. When you can have a friendship like that, then the internet it a beautiful thing. I think if you play your cards right, you can come out of the whole ordeal completely satisfied. Just be careful. :D |

i see no reason why you shouldn't to come to the states and explore...and as for the girl...well, i'm no fan of internet relationships, but it won't hurt to try out wut could happen with this girl.
BUT, the reason why i'm interested in your relationship is that you're from nottingham? and the girl is in NYC? that's the direct opposite of me and my gf. :) she's in kingston....haha...and well, just to let you know...long distance relationships aren't fun. =P
oh note...if things work out well, my gf said tix from london to nyc in march/april are like 140 quid. so...yea, you should make sure you're getting the cheapest tix possible next time. |

| i dont see whats wrong with it but i used to know people on the internet who had net releationships and none of them ever worked out in the end, which is sad, specially when peopel always sya they will never work. :( but i think its up to a person wether they wanna risk a net relationship coz i coudl imagine they beuing very difficult, as i find it difficult my girlfriend being in birmingham (i met her in crasher :p) and not being able to see her all the time, i cant imagien it being torture if urs in is america, which also leads me to another sad story but ill stop right here! |
