Do you need any isolation whatsoever? |

Did you read any of the big headphone thread up top? The one that explains all of the problems with the V700DJ? Also, are you able to get any closed headphones by "Sennheiser"? Oftentimese, a much less expensive headphone can beat the brand name headphone... |

uhm.. I'm not too sure what that is if it's music production related, but otherwise no. |

What I meant was, in what environment with what sort of tools will you be doing production? Will you be in a quiet room, or will there be loud noises around you?
You DO realize that $60 canadian isnt even remotely close to the price needed for even a 'mediocre' set of studio monitoring headphones. If you double it, we have some options... Now, what are you using for your speakers with production? The idea is to make a track or a mix, when recording, that sounds good in both studio monitoring headphones and in studio monitoring speakers... |

WOAH!!!
Look at this site...

This guy is somewhat of the black sheep of head-fi (he's one of the few there that likes the V700DJ), but he offers some interesting comparisons of a LOT of VERY intruiguing headphones!

In case you guys have not seen, here is a nice review, well not that good, but still, its a comparison between four headphones:
Sennheiser SE-DJ5000, Sennheiser HD25, Sony MDR-V700DJ, and Technics RP-DJ1200.
Its called "Battle of the Titans" by Wayne Ellis. Here is the link:
http://www.pcmusic.co.za/archive/20...ones/index2.php
In addition, there is another review of of several headphones, but not as in comparison for djing, more for studio reproduction purposes and overall natural response.
The guy reviewed the:
Beyerdynamic DT250
Etymotic ER-4P
Sony MDR-7506
Sony V6, Grado SR80, Stanton DJ Pro 2k
Check it out, the guy mentioned that his V6 and the Sony MDR7506 sounded different and he actually gave the 7506 a higher review.
