meanwhile, the beloved Liberal Party who is running the Province, spend like drunken sailors, squander money and do nothing but LIE about how much money they've lost.
I don't care if people want mayor Ford out, it's understandable.
My frustration is the complete apathy most people have when it comes to the province and what they're doing with OUR MONEY.
Those people are nuts. The liberal government cancelled some gas plants a while ago to save their own seats.
According to their estimation it cost tax payers $41 million dollars.
Fast forward to a month or so ago, and it turns out it was over $1 billion.
And nobody gave a .
Everyone needs to get their priorities in check. I hate this planet. |
I think Brad has a good point;
I'll still vote liberal provincially and federally, but rob ford is ok for toronto.. I'm not very impressed with the majority of city councerlors. inefficient unions .. blech |

| Crack smoking and admitted drinking problem aside, how is Rob Ford o.k. for Toronto, exactly? |

repealed vehicle registration tax
balancing the budget (reducing expenditures)
reducing inefficiencies in the city (mild union busting, and privatization of garbage collections)
city councerlors don't like him because i assume he's looking at their salaries to cut expenditures

anyways i dont really care too much for rob ford; but it's clear that the media and leftist city councelors have made it a witch hunt to try to give him the boot. Let him serve his tterm and then give him the boot afterwards. Oct 2014 is just around the corner in hte grand scheme of things. |

You're simply parroting Ford's own populist sound bites. Rob Ford didn't balance the budget. By law, the city has to do so - it isn't permitted to run a deficit.
Worth reading:

http://metronews.ca/voices/ford-for...r-budget-boast/
City councillors don't like him because he's a dishonest, megalomaniac bully who refuses to acknowledge and seek help for his substance abuse issues, and who associates and may have dealings with known criminals - not because he's gunning for their jobs.
If you want to talk fiscal conservatism, there are several centrist contenders who could keep the books in line and ensure that the 4th largest city in North America isn't rendered an utter laughing stock. This, "Rob Ford's just an everyday Joe, standing up for the common man." (another fabricated image the Ford brothers love to convey) bull has to end. Toronto can certainly do better. |

In my opinion the crack is a sideshow. We're talking about a mayor who goes on drunken rages in public, at fundraisers, and in his own office. We're talking about a mayor who lied for months about his substance problems while attacking anyone who called him out on it both viciously and publically. We're talking about a mayor who, it seems, hired a life long criminal associate to locate the video and retrieve it through extortion and potentially worse (let us not forget one of his cracky associates was murdered and another one thrown off an apartment balcony potentially in connection with this video). There is more to come out on this. |

Like i said, i'm impartial to this whole thing. but i rather let him serve his term out and we can re-elect next year.
I actually voted for smitherman for mayor but ford overall wasn't too bad, i saw some extra money in my pocket becaus of the vehicle reg tax.
I'm socially left, somewhat fiscally right. |
