When viewing a video in Windows Media Player... i paused the footage and took a screenshot. Pasted the screenshot into Paint.. All was going well. Clicked save and the part of the picture where the image of the video was just goes black.
So i try again. but this time take a screenshot of the screenshot if this makes sense. Same again.. i click save and the image goes black.
I no it can be done.. since my signature came from the a screenshot i did of the Twisted Video, but i just cant get it to work now. Any ideas. Maybe it has something to do with OS. Im using XP whereas before i was using ME.
Anywayz.. any clues?

use a better proggie like fotoshop m8, that's what i use for screenshots, with paint it's at exportin / saving pictures, often it cant support the number of colours that the pic actually has - fotoshop is only a 100meg d/l, and i'd have thought loads of people will have the full cracked version on the hub.

.. hmm, know it's a stupid question but have u actually de-selected the pic?
(that little dotted retangle tool) ..

.. other than that, the only thing i can suggest is using photoshop; u know it makes sense ;) |

I know exactly what you are talking about and it's happened to me before. Try using the program 'PowerDVD', at least I think you'll be able to play all formats of videos on it given you have the right codecs.
OK, once you have the video open in PowerDVD you'll get the same problem if you simply press the 'Print Screen' key but if you look there is a button on the player titled 'Capture Frame'. Click it and then go into paint and press paste and that's you got it. :D

Lemme know if I helped. :) |

| I think it has to do with the format of the movie, I've had the problem before, and this is the only explanation I can give, though it doesnt make much sense:) |

| Hehe there is a couple ways i have found out how to do it. The best is to use a program like pdvd to take the picture. But if your useing just media player you can try a couple things. Pause it were you want to take the picture back it up a couple seconds then put it back to where you had it. Works maybe 25% of the time, the other way i found if you pause it then go to tools >> options >> Performance >> Video Acceleration >> Move the bar down to none. then take your shot. Works allmost every time. Can also do a combo of the two. |
