Old Picotto Bassline

Hi guys

Im trying to recreate the old Picotto style bassline .. for a rework im working on .. any help appreciated .. exactly like the one in the famous 'Lizard'

you've never had one have you. ALthough that could of been done with a long list of synths, the warldorf wave synths would not be something you would use.

Have you any insight into a starting point for this type of bass mate?

Try to find some hardstyle kickdrums, remove the attack, do some sorcery. Its just a static bassline, should do the trick.

it is the hennes and cold bass sound from around 1998-2000.

Any synth will do. Square wave + Saw wave 1 octave up. Then enveloppe on the filter to get the whhoommp. Adjust the attack from a pluck styled bass. My guess is a nord 1.

Getting the distortion driven yet warn is going to be quite important I would think.

I used love tracks like this in the car, just that simple heartbeat bass is enough.

Great break here btw. So simple yet effective.
