| I really wish he would stop making music and drop into obscurity. Unfortunately his ego would never let that happen. |

| I can't stand his songs. He made me hate that harder, faster song from Daft Punk which he sampled even more. |

| Listened to it once, didn't hear anything sounding as if it were inspired by chicago house or acid house. |

| He's a pompous arrogant dude, but he's doing it right. Hell of a producer, and his rhymes aren't overly technical or intricate, but his flow is tight and he writes great hooks. When he first blew up, NO ONE was making hip hop like he was.. I really think he rejuvenated hip hop back in 2002 after a stagnant stretch. |

| ^Kanye's albums are too experimental for my taste. Havoc & DJ Quik are pretty much the only rappers/producers I could stand. |

Same here! And were Daft Punk drunk and deaf when they spent those five minutes contributing production to the first few songs? I have respected Kanye's production skills way before he started rapping and especially before he hit it big. But this sounds like utter shiet. |

DJ Quik! yeah! Amazing rapper AND producer. You'd be surprised at how long that dynamic remained in place. It was always a rapper (ie Tupac) + his amazing producer [if he happened to find one] (ie Johnny J). So glad this changed when rappers discovered they could produce their own music thanks to the advent of easy-to-use/affordable DAWs.. |
