That's odd. We had to study nutrition as well as its management in diabetes etc.

it is. But unless you take it in your pre med which is not a requirement, you don't have to take nutrition. Most doctors especially the low rung GPs know very little about it.\\

NA medicine is about treatment rather than prevention.

Consult your doctor for such questions. Asking random strangers on the internet, who have no knowledge of your physiology and quite little on general physiology, is not a good idea. This is why bull like paleo diets and LCHF are brainwashing way too many innocents.

Clooney is right. Most doctors will tell you things like "Whey Protein is bad for you" "It ruins the Kidneys and Liver" Which is a load of BS.

They hardly don't know anything with nutrition because they read articles like this. http://www.theage.com.au/national/h...0323-2gmel.html

It's best to speak to a nutritionist, who knows their rather than a doctor. If you are trying to lose fat, don't expect fast results because our bodies don't work that way.

Different mentality I assume.

Just eat foods that have a high nutrient density. Uncontrollable hunger comes from you not giving the body its vitamins/minerals/phytochemicals. The body wants more ty food because no matter the amount of food you eat, if its not nutrient dense, it will keep you body in an endless cycle. Up your fiber as well, it keeps you fuller longer.

Yup that's true and protein is vital for controlling your cravings as well throughout the day. I tend to have fruit smoothies in a blender with linseed (omega 3)and some protein powder. They taste amazing as well.

You guys heard of hemp hearts? That's my new thing I put on just about anything I can. 's full of protein and fibre and all kinds of other good . Makes for good pooping. :gsmile:

^ Never heard of hemp seeds. Are they like flaxseed where they are unprocessed seeds or something?
Silky Johnson
Hemp hearts...they are actually the hearts of hemp seeds - deshelled hempseeds. They have a mild nutty flavour...similar to sunflower seeds. One serving has 10grams of protein!

Funny you should mention hemp, I was debating whether or not to get some hemp oil but thought stuff like that should be refrigerated like flaxseed oil. Besides that , I've read that hemp is the bomb diggity.

@Titanium

I've seen juice fast diets work wonders on overweight people in 6 months or less, practically melts off.

Check out Dr. Fuhrman, don't get hung up on the little to no meat thing and just listen to the fundamentals.

Hearing some of your responses is mindblowing.... You have to have dietary fat in your diet- your body has to have dietary fat to absorb several different essential vitamins.

A diet of just chicken breast and fruit.... wtf?
