Calling someone that has had a big profile for over 15 years one to watch is well... pretty silly.

I enjoyed his balance mix that I think came out in 2011, had a mix of songs that were championed that year by pretty much everyone, but it also had a few obscure ones.

Again, I wasn't talking about him as a producer only.

Well, you definitely posted that tune as an example of how different his material can be so that I would "get in the loop", when clearly it is yet another example of how much a follower and lacking in originality his music is.

You're not going to get much of a convincing argument out of what he is like as a DJ either. Going by when I saw him at I Love Techno '02, his recent Essential Mix and other tracklists I've seen from him recently, his sets are every bit as average and conventional as the tunes he makes. I'm not denying that he is pleasant enough to catch live at a festival or a club, but as far as being underrated goes, the guy is WAY down on the list.

You know that being eclectic and being innovative are two different things, right?

Deetron is not underrated, he is right where he should be, as a producer who follows trends and its good at making music, that is it.

he is not an innovator but he has good producing skills and a label that backs him up on all his changes, i mean just check his full music man catalog and you will hear from the early percussion techno, to electro, to minimal, to whatever he is playing now.

but thankfully he is good at it.

of course personally i love his older stuff, intec, phont, SLS, hardgroove releases.

as for his dj sets, not a big fan.
