do you really give a if they are free range or from hen prison?

in the supermarket where my parents shop they only sell free range anyway, but maybe prison eggs are better ebcuase the hens arnt allowed to do what they want, like lay crap eggs?

from consumers point of view ur gonna be getting better more quality eggs which is good. But animal cruelty issues are raised about how they are treated. But arent free range eggs more expensive?? to encourage people to buy free range they shud in theory be cheaper. I mean if ur on the dole, are u really gonna give a . If ur tite for cash u aint gonna be wanting to spend more on eggs are ya.

No, nobody cares, it's just a marketing ploy and an excuse to charge more money.

I dont think it makes too much of a difference when it comes to eggs.

However, if you were eating the actual chicken, the free range chicken would likely be best. Think of it this way, free range livestock is able to run around a lot more, hence, having a leaner body. Since you eat that body, you intake less fat per kilogram. Non free range meats would be fattier, and not as healthy for you.

But eggs are eggs. the nutritional makeup would be very similar.

On an unrelated note, I want to know who looked at a cow's udders for the first time, got down on their hands and knees and said "I think Im gonna drink whatever comes out of this". Just the frail beginings of our farming industry I guess.

they prolly noticed how the calves were suckling... and decided that hey "if it's good enough for them, i think it can be good enough for me"

putting animals in cages that they cant turn around in or spread there wings is cruel.

Its that simple.

It doesnt matter that free range eggs are more expensive. If you find eggs are expensive if they come from free range birds, well Tough ing luck, dont buy eggs. Battery cages should be outlawed.
