How do you set up a kick waveform into a 4/4 bar in the arrange window.

I tried using bars and beats but the samples are to far away from each other when i click play at 135 bpm and it sounds like 120 bpms

Make sure that Grid is selected in the left-hand side of the tool bar (press F4, or just click it). Also, make sure that it simply reads "Grid" for absolute grid, rather than "Rel Grd" (relative grid) - clicking on that button or pressing F4 repeatedly toggles between the two grid settings. Change your snap value to 1/4 notes in the box in the center of the tool bar that says "Grid" (right above "Nudge" settings) - just click on the note symbol or the drop-down area and select the note value that you want to snap your sample clips to (1/4 note in your case). In the same drop-down menu, make sure that "Bars|Beats" is selected. Now, you should be able to put kick samples on every 1/4 note.

id use a drummachine instead of pasting samples directly into a sequencer.

I believe Pro Tools is worth learning. Great built in plugins. Unprecedented audio engine. I'm almost sold. Logic for now still tho.

I'm hooked, its like having a very slow-smooth learning curve. Logic feels a tad bit empty compared idk. All in all its a matter of preference.

I'd really recommend checking out some of the PT training videos from Groove3 or MacProVideos. They'll reduce your learning curve by a mile, especially the Groove3 ones IMO. Spend the $25 (or whatever it is) for a month-long all-access membership and you'll have access to everything from complete newb training to some really advanced stuff.
