"When you check any good track they are all very basic.
...
The Hooks are significant and basic so that you have a chance to learn it without hearing it twenty times."

El-B talks about 2-step, but the idea applies to all dance music.

that

Dude , check out the multi tracks to leChics disco hits. The hook is there, but the arrangement is so ing perfect and simple would not describe just how intricate it is.

When you check any Great track , you will notice you had no idea was there. I in hate monkeys that encourage hacktivism.

So like man, i took this look, from this library called jungle warfare right, and then like, i just ing you know, like used the loop alot. And then i added a snare and kick. And then like you know .....

Nice mixer btw. I have no ing idea who that is but what a wanker. And he could probably make the whole meth smoking a little less obvious.

Those interviews are sad in so many ways. I mean you got to have a mixing board even if that puts your speakers above your ing head.

watch artists that are inspiring, not ing lazy mediocre will never be remembered in 5 years artists.

i guess i just think that if you are going to take song writing advice, i mean there are literally 100s of incredible people that just make this guy not worth his share of air.

Sorry dude. I just can't stand hacks like this .

this is kinda how i feel bout most producers .I mean you get the idea.

El-B easily makes the top 20 of all time most influential UK EDM producers. Even if you think he's a producer for some reason the guy as a ing legacy. The fact that you've never even heard of him says a lot. You may be a good producer and general musician but you clearly know all about electronic dance music.

The fact that Richie replied to a thread about hooks and music with a link to Noisia says it all. I thought Noisia was just one guy trying to be squarepusher or BT and failing, but the fact that there's what, three of them and they still don't have a musician in there? Good lord.

Apples and oranges. Listening /= dancefloor EDM.

Nosia is something you listen to playing your racing game.

Never heard of this guy, either, but yeah, Richie pretty much nailed it.

I haven't actually watched either of the videos, but I'd be surprised if the Noisia clip was actually about composition, writing catchy hooks etc. as opposed to just production.

The 20-30 songs I listened to of theirs gave me the impression they're quite anti-hook, when they do a remix it seems the first thing they do is ditch anything remotely enjoyable to listen to, unless they're contractually obliged to keep it in.
Looney4Clooney
it wasn't, neither was the OP.

I'm just saying, there are so many better things to waste your time on. I quickly perused the video and it was just kinda sad. I mean it sucked but the fact that he was an obvious tweaker just made it that much more sad.

its ing great! lol

I mean he so so coked off his ass but ya. That is how a lot of music environments sound at times. I mean james brown was worse than that. I've been called a useless to my face or a variant of those words 2 times to my face and i've been "fired" by people who had no idea who or what i was doing there once. I just assumed they were bugging out and showed up the next day. You get used to that sort of talk. My dad yelled non stop about anything and everything so never phased me. I've seen people break down and cry. Grown men in their 20-30s. I could probably do bootcamp with a big grin the entire time.
