It's called formula. Try it and you too can have a Top100 charter.

Well, that plus really good finances for your marketing.

Few days ago on youtube popped up some video of Hardwell live @tomorrowland. What teased me were those 15 milion views...so I clicked to see if it was worth it...
I almost wanted to cry of how sad this world could be.
And reading the comments is depressing.

Fair enough, but it's not even necessarily that a track like Epic got popular, because I can understand why that sounds massive in a club, but why do we need 30,000 Epics? It loses its effect when every damn track you play does the "anticlimax" drop.

Hah I had a friend that used to call that the 'ecstasy fake', I hate it. I think it's from producers not knowing how to resolve their over-the-top 16th snare roll for 30 minutes, when it gets time for the drop they realize the track itself doesn't have the power to maintain that, so they just let it go splat to reset the energy.

As far as the sameness.. well it's safe. That sound has a proven track record. Same with the brostep. They found something that worked and pigeonholed it right away.

No one wants to risk throwing money at anything that isn't a sure thing. That goes for club owners too. They will book acts that can draw. Same with hollywood and why they write sequels. It's gaurenteed to sell and since we live in a generation of young people with an overblown sense of entitlement that think all media should be free this is the karmic debt we all have to pay
