any idea on price point for new mac pro? is it gonna be a half decent model for 3k? havent read any thing about price yet and im guessing q4 for release?

1k on a PC, 2k on a drugs/synths/hookers/whatever of your choice. Alternatively, a Mac.

Buy an i7 Mac Mini now and wait 9 months to see what the new Pro's are all about.

I just paid £375 for a basically new i5 Mini, then spent £70 on a 120GB SSD for what is basically a fully functional, powerful and silent DAW.

Amazing little things.

Will most likely start at 3k. I would wait. It is just a bad time to buy a computer for audio unless you are set on going PC.

I'll sell you mine for $3K.

If we're talking PC, $3K is a lot of money and the possibilities are pretty much whatever you want if you build it yourself. Gigabyte mobo, i7 processor, Windows OS, 16GB RAM, 4TB of HD space, killer graphics card, Fractal Design case, a good PSU, and two 27" monitors will cost well under $3K.

If you're not sure how to build a computer, this website can help you.

is 3000 that much? i think i spent 1000 on mine and its really lo-fi it doesnt even have dvd. remember the price of quality is logarithmic.

1500 will get you a sick pc lol.
