the way i see it..u start in cheese(ian van dahl..)...then u either move onto a slighter version of cheese(gielen, dj kim)..lol...then u move either onto hard trance or trance where u will be trained for a couple of months or years...(dumonde,shokk) or (armin, ferry) or a combination of the two....from there..u will either stay there forever or jump onto the first step of tektrance/prog...(slacker,oliverlieb)---(holden,tilt,futureshock)...then u either stay here for the time being and continue to hover over this level between the trance that brought u up and this level of prog...or u will move up to progressive....Satoshi Tomiie..anthony pappa...etc..and may only peep at trance once in a while....then from here..breakbeats/prog..may interest u...or ull jump around levels....my theory=my opinion

Agree 100%

So now we call Dumonde/SHOKK/Cosmic Gate cheese? Come on people, think for a second!:whip:

I don't care if it's cheese, if its good then its good.
If it's not my style and other people like I appreciate their opinions on the music, but people gonna flame around about music where they know the of is the greatest example of beeing noobish

btw mate don't take this personal it was more an add to the whole thread :)

why do you tech peopel think your so advanced and above everyone else? it makes me ing sick! and you wonder why peopel lash out at your genre? because your all ing snobs towards everything else coz "its for kids" and your "above it all" HAHAHAHA

I completely agree Ste. Although it also makes sense what speedracer's saying about moving from one genre to the next. I'm doing that, started in "cheese" moved to breaks and prog. I just don't have the smug/arrogant "holier than thow" attitude about it all (that is very sad and sickening). I mean if you don't like the music fine, but why slag on someone else? I mean chances are YOU even listened to the same type before so why be a hypocrite? (that's to all those "prog elitists")
Just my two cents...
Wicked Neo

And one that's gonna get closed very soon if the flaming continues . .

Sorry dude.......

But Germany own the trance community............UK have some DJs but NOTHING compare to Germany

DJs:
Paul van Dyk, Tall 2XLC, Dumonde, Blank & Jones, Cosmic Gate, Scot Project, CJ Stone, DJ Taucher, Kai Tracid..................

Producers/remixers:
Martin Eyerer, Green Court, Reeloop, Woody Van Eyden, Derb, Aquagen, Tillmann Uhrmacher...........don't forget some of the DJs I listed are great producers/remixers too

Damn........too many to name........:o

Ever actually heard some of those DJ's you've mentioned?
theres a thread on the same page saying how bad talla is at mixing, and Cosmic Gate haven't even grasped beat matching yet! (I saw them 2 weeks ago, they're severely train wrecked at least 4 times, and they did it the night after as well), and I've heard numerous complaints about taucher lately as well.
you go look at the top 10 DJ's in the world, see how many of them are German

Aren't production skills taken in concern as well then? Cause thats where I consider Dumonde, PvD, Corsten and many others strengths lie.

i think its becuase in germany the trance scene is least musically arrogant compared to holland and england, in our country everthing seems to want to be "cool" whereas in germany everyone is respected for what they do which brings about a more diverse trance culture and at the end of the day its all about having a good time, not pulling up a seat on the dancefloor and analysing honed progressive beats.

DuMonde Trancer... WOW!
For once, I entirely agree with you.

No offense but I thought you'd lost it a long time ago.
Now I see that at least there's still hope.
Regarding your post, it's absolutely correct.
