A new progressive/trancey mix. There are a lot of these knocking around at the moment, and I've done my fair share in the past, so I tried to keep this one interesting in two ways: firstly by digging around and finding some material not being hammered on Global Trance Grooves/J00F/Mistique/etc. where everyone is getting their tracks these days, and secondly by working out some really layered transitions to give you plenty of head food. Enjoy, and as ever: critique me, hard.

I like to do one of these about once a year. I know they're not very cool or daring but this sound still hits the spot really nicely for me, especially after a couple of joints. |

It's actually somewhat upsetting to know that there apparently is and has been quality music hiding in the 'progressive house' tab on Beatport; life was simpler believing there wasn't any.
I'm not familiar with most of these, and haven't looked them up in order to check out their release dates, but is this a mix of new and old you just happened to come across from through tracking labels and artists, or did you actually roll up your sleeves and go digging around for new material?
What is this mixed on, btw? |
