i havent been to guv for resident night in idk how many years but im sure its always reasonably full no matter who plays there. theres the people who go there just cuz its guv and the asians who arrive late. i think with a 'tech house' or 'techno' act the booking fee would be less than a steve angello anyway. it wouldnt be as packed but im sure they could always draw a crowd. what also puzzles me is why they cant even have a decent underground dj play on a friday or saturday and have cheese on the other.. or the off chance they have a good booking in the gallery manzone and strong get the mainroom.

Exactly OJ... Also from my experience in London, a lot of the earlier fans of the electro/dubstep/progressive wave now can't stand it and are discovering newer artists and are more interested in tech/deep etc. I see the bubble bursting in a couple years

Bring back Gallery on a regular basis...that room was always packed. Why they closed it still makes no sense for me but I don't know the inside scoop so oh well.

They closed it because it was dead every Saturday so they had no choice.

Sounds like you're ready to move on to Harvest Festival, Eclipse, Shambala, Burning Man...

In all fairness for the new generation of house heads or ravers or neon kids or what ever the hell you wanna call them, this line up is not bad if your into that sort of thing...

What really makes me upset is 5 years ago if you went to Labour of Love you were getting 7 rooms with atleast 4 or 5 different sounds; trance, house, tech house, drum and bass, and maybe something else...
now it's like electro and trouse... which is more or less the same noise... that's what grinds my gears... that in the fact that i miss the co2 canons in the main room lol

You know what's ed? They're having a foam party in August with more rooms open than any long weekend party I've seen in years. Most djs I don't care for, but still. This here is a true all access party imo

I wonder about the probability of several things on this night:

1. The chance of 'Levels' getting played.
2. The chance of Talal standing around, frowning with his arms crossed, not enjoying a single moment, even though he's just put another 2000 people through the door at $100 a head.
3. The chance of Mark Oliver slowly dying inside that he he has to play to this type of crowd.
4. The chance of it being full of people under 25, wearing fluro-themed clothing and 'Where's Molly' sunglasses.
5. The music being the least important thing there.

My guesses?
1. 100%
2. 100%
3. 100%
4. 100%
5. 100%
