ive done that three times already, read up.
You never used traktor scratch pro on tech 1200's so you wouldn't know the difference.
yes i have and theres no difference in sound whether u use 1210s, 1200s, CDJs or any other midicontroller to adjust pitch and launch songs. sound is the same.
SSD is more accurate in mixing than in normal HD.
if you talk about latency i might agree that you could increase like 2-5ms with a ssd, maybe, just maybe. sound quality is the same, and since your mixer is analog and realtime it doesnt really matter.
Normal HD sounds wobbly compared to SSD.
NO!
Newb!
you are free to think that |

Thats because you can't find it
and to piss of you off mr autistic care bear ima keep spreading the facts that ssd's are just only for sound quality and not performance. |

here's my take:
I own an Asus laptop and a Dell inspiron 2020 Touchscreen All in one.
I used to be a diehard ASUS fan but my last one crapped out on me after 2years (complete motherboard death) and the new one which only cost $429 although fairly powerful has been a bit crap too; The videocard drivers have never sat right until I painstakingly went through every possible one, the trackpad stopped working after a year and I had to modify it, and it really needed an SSD in there to make it faster as the disk reads were too slow. It's been OK but not that robust (I had to replace the screen but in fairness I did run over my laptop bag with my new car).
The Dell has been pretty damn good. It's like a slightly poor mans Imac ($629) and has a touchscreen plus loads of connectivity. It's the base model and actually seems quite nippy. If I slapped an SSD in there it would probably be flawless. The build is actually really sold. It feel like a sleek tank, not as fancy as an imac but solid.
My feeling is that if it's a laptop the dell will be more robust but lower performance and the asus will perform better but be a bit more flimsy.
If it's a desktop, then I would go dell. |

Whatever you think you can hear is completely in your mind. If you understood how computers work, you would understand how blatantly false your claims are.
Data does not go directly from your hard drive to your software; various software and hardware buffers exist to help ensure that every binary digit arrives at the exact time it is supposed to. SSDs and hard drives both have read buffers made out of solid state memory for this purpose. In other words, Traktor reads your audio data from solid state memory, even when you are using a spinning hard disk.
You're welcome to believe whatever crazy things you want, but those are the facts and they are indisputable. As long as you keep spreading this nonsense, someone here will keep shutting you down.
I wouldn't be calling anyone a "newb" and carrying on like this when you are so obviously wrong. It makes you look like a complete moron. You might not care what we think, but any record labels you approach are going to Google your name and the results will be interesting to say the least. |
