Amazing, just amazing. Best show I've been to all year, so glad I'm going again tonight.
First off, the sound is massive, crisp clean powerful bass for the massive space. I don't know if it's because my ears got used to santos and other smaller clubs' sound systems for the past few months but my ears really appreciated last night's sound. The whole set up was well designed, tight and compact collaboration with the lights and music, real professional stuff.
I got there around 10:10, the line was all the way to the end of the block by the B&H parking lot. However, it moved, and in 20 minutes we were inside the venue. I had 2nd balcony tix, same as tonight, and the view was great, as I was mostly there for the visuals that Prydz brings with his shows, and they didn't disappoint. He has some new visuals now, although there were still some old ones, like the church background for Personal Jesus.
I love these visuals. At times it felt like you're on a large spaceship moving through space, with the visuals in front of you, lol. A massive space ship rave in the year 2212, think about that!

| This was a kids show. The visuals were okay, nothing mindblowing. I expected more from Olander and thought that Eric's set was borderline. Some parts were good, danceable, but others were boring and made me feel like I'm at a SHM reunion. Not to mention the Ezoo crowd, their outfits were way more colorful than the visuals. And I never understood the hype over Prydz. Sure, he has some worthy productions as Pryda, but otherwise his sets don't come close to the mature sound that most of us love. They may be high energy tracks but the sets overall are just too "commercial" (emphasis on the sound, not its exposure) I'm not hating on commercial, but the sound doesn't lie. There were good moments last night, and I had fun with the crew that showed up, but it wasn't at all memorable, and it definitely was not epic. |

His essential mix is still one of my favorites ever but that feels like eons ago now. |
