i dont wanna mention any names..but i see people on this board confused..First and foremost..i like trance..&..i like progressive. I KEEP THEM SEPARATE WHEN I LABEL THEM.

heres da catch:

just becuase u like progressive and uve liked trance..dont label it progressive trance now that ur liking prog....they are separate genres..and airdrawndagger is a progressive cd.

there..goodnight:toocool:

I'll just say this:
East coast rap, and west coast rap are diffrent genre's of rap, but to us (people who dont know about the music) they sound like the same stuff right?

well that was quick

I don't think there's any solidly distinguishing feature between the two. It's more of a fluid scale running from deep progressive to uplifting trance, with everything else between. I can think of a variety of tracks fit into the "progressive trance" category.

Check this out:
The Nightflyer - Voyage, Voyage

what genre you call Solar factor - No return or Deep sonar?

i would call it progressive trance

also Planesphere - Tear drops or is this Tek-Trance then?

or Mass Effect - Plasma ?

definetly not hardtrance or techno

You know what I hate?...it's when people join their sentences like this....With 8 million periods as if they don't know how to make proper sentenses... I can understand once in a while, particulary when they are trying to leave a point for the reader to ponder... but I don't understand why people need to keep joining sentenses with...'s

Hmmm..I can only guess who SpeedRacer is addressing...
I don't get how people label things progressive. I'll put down money that you or 99% of the people who use that term don't even know what the that means. Progressive WHAT? What makes it progressive?
Oh wait. Electronica, as much as I ahte to admit it, is one of the most cliched genres in music, although it's the elast commercialized at the same time.
In that respect, so is progressive. Prog is a cliched term everybody started to use once it kicked in.
Airdrawndagger is progressive only in it's nature as a CD, not by it's tracks. I'll kick myself ofr saying what I'm about to say becaus it seems so simplified and ignorant, but it's the raw truth: 60% of the is breaks. I don't know WHERE you got that term progressive from.
Good night to you as well.

I hate when people try to criticize other's grammar and they can't spell correctly. ;)

hey speedracer..

u need to distinguish between genres and sub-genres. TRANCE is the genres and progressive is a sub genre but it can almost be an adjective decribing the style of a tune.

different sub-genres of trance include:
progressive, uplifting, epic, hard, tech, acid..to name a few.

LoL, I have a bad habit of doing it. Oh well...it's not as bad as someone saying OMG all the time.
