Now, as far as not being to your liking, there are plenty of more eloquent ways of saying how you did not enjoy a set than saying stuff like "they flat-out sucked", "they are worse than DJ Jean", etc.... some idiot actually asked Gielen if he robbed DJ Jean's record bag during one of his sets.... yeah thats funny but thats the exact stuff that ruins everything for everybody.
its unfortunate that there are 95% lamers on here, but you ruin it for everyone.
Everyone is allowed to have a bad night... no DJ is going to be great all the time. i hope that there are people at your jobs that point out all the mistakes you make.
If you want to review a set, fine, review it. don't just sit there and act like you are the supreme DJ and could "out-spin" anyone out there by saying so-and-so sucks. Your name on a billboard won't sell tickets or albums.
anyway, not going to add much more because i know not many people (if any) are going to read this.
I am pro-every major DJ.

dood you'd be REALLY surprised at how many DJ's visit this place, read the forums, acually take part now and again, listen to feedback, and respond positively to it. Apparently at the recent Bonzai A+R meeting, the main dood gets the reaction of latest Bonzai releases from these forums, becuase there's no yes men, and they can see the way the trends are going and adapt, and as most ppl would agree, bonzai do a pretty good job.... (if your reading keep it up :p)
altho on a sour note I do know of some certain DJ's turning down a remix because of things said on another board, and I'm still VERY angry about it :whip: |

People complain due to his turn in style wich has seen him play more progressive tunage {well house/prog/tribal/trance/techno}, This is what he is best at in my opinion {I know people are going to say im crazy but his galaxy set from Amnesia is by far the best set he has done this year, and its so uplifting}
..but the last sets i seen him play lately are more hard trance wich didnt sound right with him. I think Tiesto should keep playing Uplifting Trance and allow the Pure `Trance` for Armin because he is good at it, judging by the reaction Armin gets from these forums. |

ok..i didnt read this whole thing..so if its already been said..sorry
do u people realize..he plays the same tracks..in ing different parts of the world..he isnt playing for the recording of his set..he playing for the crowd..which he moves every time.

| yea... i realized that people just enjoy bash'n DJ's in here lol... well, some of them have the right to since they have seen them live but for those that just listen to the MP3's please dont flame just b/c you hear a bad set on your computer.... its all about the vibe that the dj gives to the crowd and the vibe that the crowd give back to the dj.... its funny b/c most of the people(not all) that bash tiesto has never seen him live LOL... and when you do see him live, just look around @ the crowd b/c everyone is going crazy and so is he(tiesto) |

- I like his new style of djing (deep styles)
- I havent heard his pop remixes yet so I dont flame him for sonething I dont know
- his Live @ Club Space set from August was awesome
- if he dont play new tracks than it doesnt mean he sucks, perhaps he doesnt like recent releases
- Hes a popstar? Who cares?
EDIT: But to prevent flames, there is no excuse from playing the same tracks every set. He should't do that. But give trance a chance, maybe he'll change positively soon.... Who knows. |

Do you realise that his Homelands, NEC and Global Gathering sets all had practically the same tunes in them??
All in the UK, with months of separation between them. ffs Tiesto has gone downhill. His mixng has become wank too :whip: |

i'm going to see tiesto for the first time in november (capital, pvd tiesto and sander kleinenberg) and i'm very sure that all will rock my world!! show some respect to all dj's! |

Seriously. Genuine critique of music is important, but being flat out disrespectful and rude ruins the culture for everyone. Please show some discretion in criticizing the work of others recklessly. Too much snobbery has infiltrated the scene already. Don't add to the problem, people. |

you have a good point!! i may seem to say that people shouldn;t critize dj's at all but i'm trying to say is show some more respect. for example when a dj has remixed a track you often here the words : pure , garbage etc.. you are allowed (:p) not to like a track but if you're gonna reply please give do it with some respect and tell what you didn't like!.. |

Exactly. The sort of thing you just described has become a norm on TA. I personally find it insulting and irritating when people criticize without reason or forget that people have varied tastes. |
