I agree, i think Hobo should close one out or at least go on after Matador.

Even tho Matador a has nice unique techno sound, i feel its not as high energy as Hobo would be

why are you so excited about richie? i'd rather have hobo/matador play longer sets than have him on the bill also at this point lol.

because richie unannounced on a bill is a way different party regardless of who else is playing

kinda like when no one else knew seb fontaine and carl cox played twilo for $15 all night long..

with the internet we've completely lost the just show up and hear, everyone is so picky, picky with their money, picky with their options, they want to hear before they go to see if its worth it

thus the magic of an unannounced super star showing up to support his label mates when he clearly has an agenda here in NYC and a domestic gig the next day

but i digress, it's not like i sat with sasha blowing rails while three had his wednesday night at club love with what was probably 50 heads total in the spot

the problem is, it happens and everyone who wasn't there gets tight that it wasn't announced a head of time

I would love a M-nus showcase with everyone except for Richie lol. Seen him too often and I care more about his label now and who he's grooming than what he's putting out right now.

you'd pass up a ricardo villalobos as new kids on acid and richie hawtin for a cocoon party because you've seen him too often...i mean it's not like the waters haven't been tested (ala cocoon in the park 2013) and richie's slowly making his way back to the lovely cocoon brand which he helped close with sven. all the heavy hitters are coming back into the scene and I think NYC has began it's rebuilding and love/affinity for the techno underground. if drumcode moving to nyc for "2-3 months" isn't already a tell tale sign, add in the tested waters of cocoon residency and cirocoloco in the past 1-2 years, new clubs popping up, more underground with less red rope resistance, the layout is really there if you ask me
