Sucks if its gonna be like this. Either way i hope Hobo is AFTER Matador. His techno is cool & trippy and all but need some high energy beats after listening to that.

Meh. I hope to hear Matador close it out.

They're both playing live.. so, I don't think they'll be playing more than 2hrs, each.

One of the worst venues I ever been to; actually, probably the worst after pacha. And the sound... oh the sound.... The bass was WAY to high, it was really ty, my ears are still buzzing. Matador was excellent though, but missed hobo cause I couldn't stay in that hole another minute. Just to make the night even better, I had a dry night since I was on antibiotics. FUN! FUN!

I havent been to phat place since 09, but yeah, it was a ing sardine sauna can and the sound was pretty ty (during drops you could hear the limiters being overloaded etc)

But matador and hobo were ing great. Hobo had a lot of energy. Crowd was also cool but everybody was expecting a warehouse party, not a sardine can.

Oh well.

I would like to thank everyone for squeezing my

I really wish I had shown up at 2 am. Music was pretty blah until then. Don't know what they were thinking having that show at Rebel...

Matador and Hobo were both sick though - hope next time they are at a proper venue.

Best thing to wake up to the next morning was Hobo giving me a shout out on facebook for my costume :D Awwww yisssss.

This, it's even worse when you have to wear earplugs like me ( you tinnitis). I couldn't hear anything but rumble. Bar closing at 4 too, soooooo un blkmarket.

i got there at 1, line long got in actually at 2, ty sound, ty layout, ty format, half assed production...

there's becoming this clear cut divide when it comes to our new pop up groups that we all like to party at. the ones where the location is THE LOCATION and then the ones where the location is some legit old run down venue with full on security.

For the prices some people paid, I'd venture to say this was the WORST party to go to that night and that says alot with these two groups throwing this type of party.

I'm finding it more of a hit or miss these days, it's a mixed of a full on legit production that's done half assed, or a bk spot that's set up amazing, the latter which is far and few between these days.

Anyways, maybe the criticism is a bit much, but for a get spooky branded event i felt the overall experience was rather lack luster. If I knew I was going into legit I would have went to Nina with a more superb sound system.

I take this as being taken advantage of for supporting an underground label that has gotten so big it's losing it's touch and it's really putting a level of skeptism to the 'location TBA' approach that was executed so well in previous years.

I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't intentional. Last minute venue fall-through or something... I'm just having a hard time believing that Rebel was their first choice for that party.

could all have been rectified when they announced it, a simple this happened and it's here and that's why even at 5pm day of and i would have sold my ticket and paid door at nina (old beat up rebel with no new renovations vs output for probably +$25-30 more) or just gone over to robots worse for me though is I brought along a crew of 8

so yes, criticism maybe a bit much but that's how one feels when experience doesn't meet expectation...just sucks all around i guess
