I actually like Matrix 2 and 3, but I do wish they had gone in a different direction after 1.
Star Wars Prequels and Indiana Jones Crystal Skull are definitely the biggest disappointments for me.
I have rather low expectations of most movies going in, so I can't really remember the latest time a movie disappointed me. |

| I was definitely disappointed in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight rises, but I enjoyed Batman Begins. Damn curse of the sequel and damn Christopher Nolan. |

| Matrix 1's concept idea was brilliant and a first. They needed something more bizarre and original for a sequel. |

TDKR was the tiest "blockbuster" movie I have seen in a very long time.
I almost walked out after the airplane scene with its lazy dialogue. I actually had thoughts of suicide when he said, "FOR YOU", but I didn't have too high of expectations, so I was mentally prepared.
EDIT: To prevent people from thinking I'm a critical who can't enjoy things, I will say that I enjoyed the hell out of Pacific Rim. I went in thinking it was going to be a god awful movie but I actually found it to be a fun movie. Nothing Oscar worthy of course... But fun. |
