Sorry dude, I'm not picking on you but I don't like the word "created". The universe wasn't "created". the universe is infinate and it's always been.

You're probobly just using the term loosly but still if you say that it was "created", then you suggest the existance of a supreme being. Which is of course bull!

This whole hubble telescope thing is a powerfull weapon in the hands of those less than maggot creationists who are trying to inject the poison of religion into science. So this whole age of the universe being determined is all just another arrogant attempt by the religious scum to suggest that the universe had a begining and there for will have an end.
Well I got news for all those maggots!
The universe Wasn't created. It has always been.

Again sorry for the outburst. Just a little sensitive about the issue.

In effect every time we look at the night sky we are looking at the past. As the Hubble telescope can view things so distant that we cannot see them normally, focusing obscure and distant light, it can vieww things that occurred even earlier.

thatz wat i was tryna say... cept i just cant explain very well:rolleyes:

huh? but say, a star 2000 light years away from us, which we can visibly see from earth... like a little yellow dot @ night. ok, we are seeing the star that is 2000 years ago (follow?) coz it takes 2000 years for the light of the star to reach us... but as we see that star of the past... the present star actually exploded, and it will take another 2000 years or so for us to realize it has exploded, doesnt that mean we saw the star explode... but in reality, it already exploded 2000 years ago... is that not us witnessing the past?

that explanation just confused me, ne one know more about this stuff?

thats true..the limit we can see right now is 12.000.000.000 Lightyears deep into space...we cant really "see" but we get radiations from galaxies and stars far away...
