When someone like Markus shows he can still do old-fashioned quality (as in the Stereo comments above, and that he knows how to play for that place), it shows a few things:
a big you to everyone else, who have to put up with the uncool stuff of the other 98% of the time
and the general state of affairs in this segment of the industry, the taste of the mass consumer prevailing and that heīs adept at pandering to it (as in ASOT @ MSG as an example)

One other comment:
people get way toÖ defensive when something crap they like is called out by others.
Hey, just admit to it, and call it a guilty pleasure.
(musically, I have gone, and even enjoy it most of the time during, the kind of stuff most people here would heave at, so what?)
I also eat at McDonalds every once in a while, and enjoy it while Im eating (until about 5 min after, when my stomach tells me to regret it).
But I donīt have to delude myself into thinking that Mickey Dīs isnīt the lowest form of phood there is.
Hey, I might just attend a Flock of Seagulls reunion show, lol.

seeing as no one saw fit to enter the date in the events calendar, I looked and ended up on their fb page.
those anime-type cartoons say it all, kindergarten time, as in my comment about pandering.
