We have a winner! It may be over the top, but I've sat in mix sessions, where one stray peak caused an extra hour of balancing the faders on a finished mix just to make sure it wasn't going over. Limiter is not an option; it's a band aid for bad technique. |

It's not what I want on the master channel, it's what I need.
Here's what I use for every track, in this order.
Fruity Parametric EQ
BT Limiter LM2S
I'll sometimes add FX after the Parametric EQ, if I want to funkafy a track with gate, stutter, or other FX. |

Mix buss residents for the past year almost have been (UAD) Pultec EQP-1A into Trident A-Range into Ampex ATR-102
Massive Passive is on sale now so if i grab that it will most likely replace the Trident |

Always in this order:
1)Sound Goodizer set to C max.
2)PSP Vintage Warmer set to extra pressure.
3)Sausage Fattener max color and max fatness.
4)Ozone set to CD master
5)Waves R Bass
I found if I change the order my tracks don't sound so massive.

Sonnox Inflator crammed in there between VW and Sausage Fattener would take your mixes to the next level. |

you are missing some buns
usually i would have the voxengo Span , and brick wall limiter for catching loose peaks (not for loudening) |

| Producers tend to forget that 99% of samples have already been processed, so the simpler your chain the better. I always have Ozone 5 on the master and a Pultec Eq dipping -2.8db on 200hz makes everything much clearer. |
